Use 'BMP for peanuts' to improve your enterprise's bottom line

High input peanut production, in areas of high rainfall or with the use of irrigation, is becoming increasingly important to the peanut industry. The adoption of best management practices (BMP) is essential for growers to consistently achieve good profits. Peanuts grown using high levels of inputs such as irrigation and fertilisers and with careful pest and disease management can be a profitable farming enterprises. While being potentially financially rewarding, this high input system could, however, be expensive and demands skilled management and correct timing.
