The GrowSearch database contains information on topics such as:
- ornamentals
- Australian natives
- nursery stock
- cut flowers/foliage
- herbs
- flowering pot plants
- new crops
- pest and disease control

- fruit and vegetables.
How to use the service
Information can be requested by phone, fax, email, or by completing the enquiry form. Articles are ordered in a three-step process:
- A request for information is made and the client is sent a list of relevant articles to consider, including a short summary on each article. This part of the process is free of charge.
- If the client wishes to place an order, the required articles are marked and the signed list is returned to GrowSearch.
- The requested articles are photocopied and usually sent to the client within two working days.
Fees
Users are charged only for copies of articles ordered, not for the initial search for the information or the list of relevant articles.
One-year subscription
A one-year subscription to GrowSearch costs $110 including GST ($150 for users outside Australia) and includes:
- up to 50 photocopied articles
- unlimited searches of the GrowSearch Australia database
- searches of other databases, books and other information resources where applicable
- free use of the GrowSearch DVD/video library (not available to users outside Australia).
One-off users (without a subscription) pay a minimum of $33 for up to five photocopied articles. Additional articles cost $11 each. All costs are listed in Australian dollars.
