'AVOMAN' is an Australian initiative that provides growers with management tools and information for improving orchard productivity and fruit quality.

AVOMAN software

AVOMAN is a comprehensive system that combines extensive record keeping facilities with expert knowledge to provide customised agronomic recommendations, reports and information.

The customised recommendations include:

  • nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium
  • trace elements (including boron and zinc)
  • liming, calcium and magnesium
  • root rot and anthracnose control
  • insect control.

AVOMAN addresses the 4 key management issues (root rot, irrigation, nutrition, and anthracnose) for Australian avocado growers.

Reports include:

  • spray diaries
  • weather summaries and graphs
  • job reminder lists
  • fertiliser use
  • yield, packout and returns
  • leaf and soil analyses, summaries and graphs
  • chemical, labour and machinery expenditure.

Other features include:

  • phenological growth cycles for all major growing areas in Australia
  • extensive chemical product database
  • extensive agronomic information.
