Barley production in Queensland

Barley is the second most widely grown crop in Australia; only wheat occupies a wider area. Barley has three major uses: feed grain for feedlots, malt barley and grazing. While Australian barley production only accounts for 3% of the world's barley production, the Australian malting barley trade supplies 30% of the world's malting barley trade.
