Angoumois grain moth (Sitotroga cerealella) is a pest of whole cereal grains and will attack grains before harvest, especially maize. They infests only surface layer of bulk-stored grains.

Angoumois grain moths are smaller than other storage moth pests.  Adults are 5-6 mm long; unable to penetrate deeply and do not feed.. Maximum population growth rate per month 50x and the larvae develop concealed in a single grain.

  • no known resistance to protectant OP´s or new spinosad insecticide
  • not susceptible to methoprene
