Tell us your training needs to help identify where funding is needed.

Tell us your training and skilled labour needs

Are you involved in primary industries? Do you need training and skilled labour? Are you concerned about the shortage of skilled people in the industry now and in the future?

If so, we need your help to identify the right training for you or your industry. Training can help rural industries attract, retain and develop a workforce able to take advantage of new opportunities and maximise profitability.

DPI&F is currently collecting information on rural training needs for the Department of Education, Training and the Arts (DETA) to determine what training will be funded for delivery by registered training organisations.

The Rural Skills, Training and Labour Strategy supports DETA's Queensland Skills Plan.

How to participate

Visit the Skills Telegraph to enter your training and skilling workforce needs.

School to Industry Partnership and Gateway Schools Program for Agribusiness

In partnership with AgForce, the Queensland Farmers' Federation and industry, DPI&F and DETA are seeking to provide students with pathways into agricultural industries through curriculum structures that access a broad range of learning and career opportunities. This is a Blueprint for the Bush initiative.

School to Industry Partnerships promote close collaboration between industry and the school sector to create interest, identify opportunities and provide access to careers.
