Beef industry

Queensland is Australia's main producer and exporter of beef. Every year, Queensland exports $3.3 billion in high quality beef products.

Our beef products are among the world's safest. World-class research, development and production practices have kept Queensland's beef free from many of the world's most serious bovine diseases, including foot-and-mouth disease and BSE (bovine spongiform encephalopathy).
