The Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries (DPI&F) is responsible for the management and protection of Queensland's highly diverse fish habitats that support the state's fisheries. This vital role is undertaken through the protection of marine plants and fish passage, declaration of fish habitat areas and assessment of development applications.
