Pest offensive
Queensland farmers rank weeds as their worst land management problem, and pest animals are the number one cause of environmental damage throughout regional Queensland.
'Reclaim the bush-a pest offensive' is the Queensland Government's $11 million funding initiative under the Blueprint for the Bush to attack priority pest animals and weeds.
The first round of applications closed on 13 November 2006.
Program targets
- prevention of new threats
- woody weeds
- wild dogs
- feral pigs
- prevention of weed spread
- Indigenous community pest management
