Field crop research

Queensland Primary Industries and Fisheries is a world leader in researching and developing broadacre field crop industries in the tropics and subtropics. We undertake research and development in cereals, pulses and oilseeds, fodder, fibre and specialty crops.

We aim to:

  • improve productivity and quality
  • meet market demands
  • add value to products
  • predict and manage climate change
  • develop sustainable production practices.
