Biotechnology makes a valuable contribution to Queensland's primary industries by developing opportunities and solutions for growers, consumers and industry. The department has embraced agricultural biotechnology and is involved in a diverse range of knowledge-based, innovative science projects that provide market-driven solutions to current and future agribusiness challenges.
