Animal industries

Queensland supports major animal industries such as beef, dairy, sheep, pigs, poultry and aquaculture. A variety of new animal industries are emerging based around species such as bees, camels, crocodiles, emus, goannas, goats, kangaroos and ostriches. DPI&F supports these industries with a variety of research, extension and promotion activities spanning all facets of production including nutrition, housing and equipment, animal health and breeding and processing and marketing.
