Claiming a prize
To win a prize, you must:
- register via the Infofish competition app (you will receive a unique 'verification code certificate' that you will need to validate catch during the competition period)
- hold a valid SIPS permit at the time of capture (if 18 or older) or have permission from a parent or guardian if under 18
- take a photo of yourself with the fish
- take a photo of the fish against a brag mat/ruler to clearly show its length and ensure the 'verification code certificate' is visible
- upload your catch details and photos in the Infofish competition app.
Please note
- The fish must be line caught—however, you can use a landing net in combination with line fishing to bring the fish onshore.
- Do not clean, gut or scale the fish to take photographs.
- After taking the necessary verification photos, you can keep or release the fish.
Verified catches will be calculated over the 2 weeks of the competition, with the winner informed at the end of the competition period. You can check your progress on the competition leaderboard in the Infofish competition app.
Entrant responsibilities
