The Biosecurity Queensland Ministerial Advisory Council (BQMAC) was established to provide strategic oversight and direction on Queensland's priorities within the national biosecurity system, with membership drawn from a public expression of interest and key organisations.
BQMAC was formally dissolved in July 2025 in order to streamline government’s approach to advisory councils and groups. Biosecurity Queensland continues to hold regular meetings, workshops and forums with industry, and the Agriculture Energy Water Council brings together key Ministers, industry leaders and senior government officials to address critical issues in the primary industries sector.
