Know your general biosecurity obligations
Under the Biosecurity Act 2014, we all have a general biosecurity obligation for managing biosecurity risks that we can control:
- Follow the come clean go clean steps to ensure you, your vehicle, equipment and machinery are clean and free of pests and diseases.
- Understand what biosecurity management plans are and how they apply to entering properties.
- Identify prohibited or restricted matter for invasive plants and animals, and priority plant pests and diseases.
- Report a biosecurity pest or disease and help prevent exotic pests and diseases from impacting Queensland.
Before you begin
Confirm the property holder’s email address if you want to send them a copy. You can ask the property owner about how they will collect, use, and store your personal information.
If you don’t have the property owner’s email, you can still complete the form to keep a record of meeting your general biosecurity obligation.
If you have travelled overseas within the past 7 days, tell the property owner or manager before entering the property. Do not have direct contact with livestock or cropping areas.
