Protect your property

Create a biosecurity plan

A biosecurity plan is a document that outlines individual biosecurity risks that are unique to your property and the processes that are used to manage those biosecurity risks.

Create a biosecurity plan to protect your property.

Biosecurity management plan

A biosecurity management plan has additional requirements to a biosecurity plan as it is supported by the Biosecurity Regulation 2016 to address the issue of unauthorised access.

If you exhibit your animals, protection under the Biosecurity Regulation 2016 will only apply if you have a biosecurity management plan for your property.

Create a biosecurity management plan, and update it every 12 months if your operation changes or you experience a disease or pest incursion.

Check your biosecurity entity registration

If you own or are in control of certain animals in Queensland, you must be registered as a biosecurity entity.

Register as biosecurity entity or check your biosecurity entity registration is up-to-date if you have livestock or bees. Registration allows us to better prepare for and respond to biosecurity emergencies.
